I remember in the year 2002, I was sitting on the carpet in my second grade classroom, listening to my teacher go on about some book. All I could think about was going home and waiting for a phone call to talk to my mom whom I hadnt seen in a long time. There was a knock at the door and a woman came in. Her red hair was a bit of a mess and her glasses were thick. All I thought was, oh, thats not for me with disappointment rolling through my stomach. When suddenly, that very woman said, Is Kella Bukowski in here? I ran so fast, stepping on classmates hands and tripping over legs to jump into my moms arms. I cried, holding her as though she was about to leave again. But she didnt leave. Instead, she held me just as tight and carried me out to the car when we drove home. Sorry, had to post a sappy feel good story. Too much dark in the world nowadays. :)
