I remember sitting in the stands Pirates opening day April 13, 1990 with my 70 year old dad and my a 13 year old nephew to my left, watching the game wearing gloves and a winter coat. It was my first opening day since high school when we used to skip school and take the bus to Pittsburgh . I remember wondering if I would ever get the chance to be at an opening day with my dad and another grandchild, my son or daughter. When I did the math I realized sadly that this may not occur so I enjoyed the moment with Jason and his Pap that much more. Tomorrow, my daughter Lauren and I will make will be watching as the Pirates take the field for the first post season game at PNC Park. We are going to make some memories that she can tell her kids about and my Dad will be with us in spirit cheering the Bucs from heaven! Let Go Bucs!
