I remember the first time I heard him. It was late night D.C. Radio, he did Harlem Nocturne. I have listened and admired dozens, maybe hundreds of guitar players over the years, but this song on that night completely turned my head to a direction I had not known or imagined in guitar playing . I dont mean to take anything away from all the great guitarists that I know of, he was just so outrageously different and uniquely eclectic! I saw him many times over the years, and I took that for granted. Wish I could see him just once more.
