I remember the first time my daughter heard this song, tears rolled down her face and I asked her why she was crying. She looked at me with sad eyes and said, Because it makes me sad daddy. It was the year her mother and I broke up and she knew her mother had dedicated that song to me. I told her sadness is a part of life and we all have to experience it during our lifetime, some more than others because it is a part of our journey. She was always very inquisitive and caring, but it was her love and my love for her that has helped me through some of the saddest times in my life! When she was a little girl we were always very close and nothing has changed, she is still the love of my life! I remember telling her I would always be there for her and I have never broken my word! If you ever asked my daughter when was the happiest time of her life, she would tell you without hesitation, When I lived with my father in New York! :) She has her own family now, but she will always be my little girl!
