I remember the telecast of Elviss last concert. On stage i saw, a large, unhealthy man, who couldnt remember the words to his most famous songs. This week was the 5th anniversary of Michael Jacksons death and Palladia is showing This Is It, a movie about the preparation of Michael Jacksons world tour in 2009, that wasnt to be. The movie shows a lucid, engaged Jackson dialed into every part of the production of the concert. He didnt look or act like a strung out junkie on prescription pills, like Elvis, or a recreational user of illegal dope who wouldnt and couldnt get off the sofa to perform a 3 hour concert. Nope, this man was running the show and teaching those around him in a way that was going to make for a great concert. The movie was about practice, were talking about practice, and when the real lights came on, he would have been even better. His death had to be malpractice, plain and simple.
