I remember this morning 12 years ago...I was at work and a guy came in and said that a plane had just hit one of the twin towers of the World Trade Center...we had a TV at my store so I turned it on...just in time to see the second plane hit...live...I remember that feeling I had as I stood there in shock and amazement...and how I prayed for those souls...and I remember hearing an Irish Bishop on a radio station talk show that night asking for America to light a candle and place it outside or in the window for the victims, so I went home and happened to have a red, a white, and a blue candle, and I lit them all and placed them on my porch and watched them burn as I sat on my porch and called everyone I knew to do the same...as I reflected on the day...tonight I have a purple candle, on my porch, flickering, to honor the fallen, and to represent the mother of my children, and to represent pancreatic cancer, which she had succumbed to...I urge each of you who see this to light a candle tonight...in honor of our fallen...let`s make thi s night a little brighter...! God Bless this country, and all who still believe in it...
