I remember very clearly the morning of September 11th. I was driving to work in my kick ass Geo storm ( thats right... and it was red ) and for whatever reason, for the first time in my life, I wasnt into listening to the radio on the way to work ( what?? ) So when I stepped into my office at 1800 Contacts ( yes I worked there ) I walked into an entire room of people standing at their desks watching the big flat screen TVs on the walls as the towers were ablaze and the confusion and media were going crazy. I actually took the east region calls at the time so most of my calls were coming in from New York and Jersey and it was so difficult to get through those calls when all anyone and everyone wanted to do was watch and talk in disbelief about what was happening. I remember feeling extremely proud to be an American and what it must feel like for those fighting for their own rights and countries everyday. It forever changed my perspective and my life. That event made me approach my life with more gratitude. It reiterated the immense blessings that I once took advantage of and humbled my heart to love they neighbor. I think September 11th had a profound affect on most people that lived through it. What a terrible tragedy that was, and what terrible acts we still deal with to this day because of it. It forever changed the face of terrorism and the level in which people are willing to go for what they believe. Where were you when the towers were hit?
