I remember waking up early in the mornings when I was still a little kid to get ready to make our way out to Utulei beach for kick offs, sign waving, and BBQs during election season but not yet fully comprehending just what it was all for or what it even really meant. All I know was that it was to support a family member completely unaware of who he was as THE POLITICIAN but I DO distinctly remember my mother being decked out in her eldest brothers promotional gear: T-shirts, stickers, headbands, visors, banners -- just ENId out. Lol! Fast forward 20+ years later and having gained a better understanding and appreciation for and of politics, this particular election resonates with me in a different way from others and personally holds a special meaning in my heart. In 4 more days, Im happy to say that I will proudly be casting my vote for Congressman ENI FALEOMAVAEGA not simply because we share a common genealogy but because he is a man that is ahead of his time, a walking/talking encyclopedia, a natural-born leader, a true statesman, he epitomizes what it means to put his country before himself, and I know that he still has that fight left in him. #Faleomavaega2014 #Vote4Eni #November4th Signed, A Proud Nephew
