I remember watching as a kid when a now dead Bing Crosby came on the stage to sing with David Bowie during a Christmas Special my Mom and Dad were watching. I was mesmerized by their harmony then and still am today. When Crosby and Bowie agreed to sing together on The Little Drummer Boy, an admission was made by Bowie... he hated the song. Quick thinking prevailed as writers on the set quickly composed the Peace On Earth lyrics for David Bowie (Official) and it worked magnificently. Bing died about 5 weeks after the recording in 1977, but the video they shot that day was marvelous and if you havent seen it, here it is at #2 on my 50 Favorite Holiday Classics, The Little Drummer Boy/Peace On Earth. youtu.be/DiXjbI3kRus
