I remember watching this when I was 13 and thinking, Wow. Why isnt he running for president? And then I watched it in college and broke the speech down technically and blah blah...and thinking in 1990, Wow. Why isnt HE running for president? The point is, Mario Cuomos Tale of Two Cities speech (as Dr. Ken Cranell called it) was one of the greatest orations of a generation and it still echoes with truths. He was laid to rest today, but take eight minutes to listen to it again if you can. (I can geek out on its pure nuts and bolts of delivery...dont get me started.) Thirty years later, its still one of the greatest speeches Ive ever seen from a politician. R.I.P.
