I remember when it was Dallas searching for a replacement for Troy - TopicsExpress

I remember when it was Dallas searching for a replacement for Troy Aikman and the revolving door of head coaches. We went from the great Tom Landry, to the magnificent Jimmy Johnson, to lame duck Barry Switzer, all won at least one ring. I just winced at the thought of Quincy Carter, Ryan Leaf, Randall Cunningham, and the past his prime Drew Bledsoe. Then it all fell apart and Dallas is finally recovering. So we should be able to sympathize with the team down in DC and not kick them when theyre down...Right... It seems fairly obvious that the Washington Redskins are going to have to choose between head coach Jay Gruden and quarterback Robert Griffin III after the season. All indications are that Gruden is done with RG3. According to Jason Reid of the Washington Post, Gruden’s frustrations with Griffin extend beyond the former Baylor star’s poor play. Gruden is also fed up with RG3’s decision making and attitude off the field. Also, Gruden’s assessment goes deeper than Griffin’s play. He has major concerns about Griffin’s decision making off the field, which has come to light through conversations with team officials at Redskins Park. To Gruden, Griffin seemed more concerned about enhancing his brand than about honing his pocket skills. Often, Gruden rolled his eyes after being informed about the life lessons the 24-year-old offered on social media. Gruden became frustrated that Griffin, even after Gruden benched him, failed to acknowledge his role in his failure. We already know that Gruden does not feel RG3 is a good fit for his offensive system. The first-year head coach has been critical of Griffin’s decision making and inability to read defenses. Simply put, it seems like Gruden has already run out of patience with RG3. And if Gruden isn’t a fan of Griffin as a player or a person, there’s no way he’s going to want to work with him in 2015. That leaves Redskins owner Daniel Snyder with a decision to make. Does he want to run another coach out of town, or accept that Washington’s decision to trade assets in order to draft RG3 was a failure? The latter seems more likely this time around. Only Dan Synder can save Griffin and RG3 is his boy, either way I dont care. Theyre our natural enemy and their dysfunction is comical. How Bout them Cowboys?
