I remember when it was hard to breath, hard to get out of bed, - TopicsExpress

I remember when it was hard to breath, hard to get out of bed, IMPOSSIBLE to get through the day without crying. I remember the steps to healing: Lost and Found, leaning on friends (I had to learn this), walking at zero-dark-thirty with Janieca Hancock. I remember struggling to run to the stop sign, then the first mile, 2 miles and finally an exhausting (and exhilarating) 5K. I now run my 5K 12 minutes faster - what was hard yesterday is now my warm up - it does happen! It has been a remarkable adventure and as I look to the weekend, to my first triathlon, I am nervous, but determined! Kenny would be proud of his mom. More importantly, he would be proud of my closeness to his siblings and the 19 years of marriage with his dad, Eric Ham . He would be proud that even though the pain of his death swallowed me, I climbed out, with the help of others. This race isnt about swimming, biking and running, its about NOT QUITTING, NOT GIVING UP, EVERY DAY. And remembering that this life adventure is not done alone! I know I will miss naming some of you...THANK YOU!!!
