I remember when this album came out and for me ¨Debut¨ would herald the endless possibilities and the beginning of fusion from other cultures in music, Indian tabla, arabesque string arrangements, jazz tinges, down tempo chill meets late night house. Björk was kind of the first Pop singer to really bring in world influences electronically without them being associated with Art Rock or Prog...but this song was a standout for me because it marked the first time I professed my love unabashedly. And that love I felt was so elemental, unapologetic, primal. I felt I could destroy anyone that got in the way of it. I still get goosebumps as a range of emotions flood along with memories of chill out rooms at parties.
