I remembered in my volunteer work with XU-PAF ROTC during operation TABANG SENDONG in 2011, we cadet officers were front liners during the distribution of relief goods ....our main task is crowd control and show force to implement order...but often times the crowd of hundreds or thousands is just too great for 2 or 4 cadet officers to handle.. we were sometimes confronted with death threats..survivors whom we are trying to help are.pointing bolos or knives at us. flaunting their pistols.. and throw rocks at.us.if we dont give em the goods (for a very good reason)...its quite understandable for their situation but still I do hope that a sane mind will persevere throughout the ordeal.
