I rented Chef from Redbox. Really good movie. Its predictable but funny and a sweet story. A good yarn about a dad and his kid. (Is yarn still a word? Am I old now?) I am mainly a Netflix and Amazon Prime Instant Video guy but the food truck angle drew me in. (I used to own restaurants and have always been fascinated by food trucks. I secretly desire owning one with a brick oven. One bite of my pizza and youll follow me around with a plate. But I digress...) Youll fire up your griddle to make a Cuban after watching. Might even try a citrus marinade. I love the scene where the kid is about to serve a sandwich that is overcooked. Dad takes Junior out for a little talk. That was great. A true chef cares about every. single. plate. West Wing fans will like the cameo from the guy who played the White House counsel. Props to Jon Favreau for his ability to tie up about a half dozen loose ends in the last three minutes. Its a family movie except for some language and innuendo. Highly recommend.
