I rented a movie last night called All is Lost. I dont know why I would rent a movie with a title like that but it was about a sailboat and as a former live aboard and being caught in a big storm myself, I am always interested in seafaring tales. It starts off with his death note and then says 8 days later. His sailboat is in a storm and does a 360 (that.s a total roll-over) and never puts on a life jacket. His boat sink and he gets into the life raft. It never explains why his water supply is tainted. He had plenty of time to get food off the boat. If you are making a transcontinental sail, you have lots of food. In the end, out of desperation he sets his life raft on fire to attract the attention of a passing ship and dives overboard to sink into oblivion and a hand reaches down and saves him. He never loses his reading glasses. It starred Robert Redford. The Life of Pi was more believable.
