I repost this true story for my new friends and for all of my friends again to be encouraged. Under Gods wings, A true story A forest fire swept through a national forest. After the fire some park rangers went into the blackened forest to access the damage. They came upon a peculiar scene. Below the remains of a burnt nest on a brunt branch at the base of a burnt tree, stood the burnt, ash remains of a large bird. Its body stood like a statue where the fire had swept over it. None of the rangers had ever seen such a thing. One of the rangers took a stick and poked the ash statue. It fell over and from under its wings scurried baby birds that were untouched by the flames. Here is what had happened. The mother bird knew the fire was coming. She knew that her babies were too young to fly away. She knew that the toxic fumes of the fire would rise and poison her babies. So she knocked each one to the ground and huddled them together under her wings. As the fire approached, the mother bird had a choice to make. As the pain of the heat covered over her she could have flown away and saved herself. But she chose to tuck her babies close to her body under her wing and save them. She stood and endured an agonizing death sheltering to preserve her babies under her wings because she loved them more than life itself. How much more did Jesus Christ love us when He could have flown from the agony of the cross but decided to huddle we His Children under is wing and there remain to die for us because he loves us more than life itself? Psalm 91:7-11 Oh wow, just wow I love my Lord. Thank you Jesus Christ. Just AMEN!
