I resent the fact that the second Purge movie uses the term Anarchy in its title. Im not an anarchist par se and I dont claim to be, but I know enough about the philosophy behind it, to understand that anarchy can be a peaceful, non-violent revolutionary movement, used as a method to rid a particular people of its oppressors. Anarchy has been stereotyped and generalized in America, ever since President McKinley was assassinated by a self-proclaimed anarchist in 1901. After that, the ideology has suffered the misconceptions of being nothing but a violent uprising for over the past century. Yes, anarchy HAS been directly linked to several other assassinations of world leaders and other crude acts of violence, well before McKinleys death. But those who have a better understanding of how to use anarchism as a means for a positive change for all, would eventually see that the violence so easily tied to such a concept, is absolutely NOT necessary when applied correctly. Three of the best examples: Gandhi using a series of fasts to liberate India from British rule. African Americans using sit-ins to rid themselves of oppression here in the United States. The global Occupy movement used large unarmed take overs of public areas in order to get the attention of their oppressive government and demand changes. So no, anarchy will not be depicted in the sequel to The Purge, youll see a sanctified, legal nation-wide riot taking place instead. #enlighteningbolt
