I respect people who engage in politics without bitterness, - TopicsExpress

I respect people who engage in politics without bitterness, character assasination and verbal attacks. It makes no sense when you hate someone for having different political ideology and candidate from yours. Afterall, you dont expect the whole people to endorse your own candidate. You should also know that all candidates are fallible, imperfect and are never saints. Power comes from God and He gives same to whoever He deems fit which we cant question. Remember, politics is a game of interest, which should be played with highest sense of decency, decorum, objectivity and diplomacy. And it is on account of this that i have promised myself that i would never create for myself a single enemy on account of our political, tribal, ethnic and even religious differences. I feel disappoint with some posts, comments and confrontations i see on the social media and believe me if some of these confrontations are left unchecked they may degenerate to be worst than the war by BOKO HARAM and the ISIS. I distaste politics of calumny, slander and propaganda. Whoever wins the 2015 Governorship election should have the interest of my dear State(Plateau) at heart and must be able to surpass the present government in all ramifications, because he/she must have known the strengths and weaknesses of this government and be ready to improve positively. Government would come and go; so also would people be born and die, but the unity/peace of our dear State should never be compromised for anything. Selfish interests should not overide our collective interest as a State. As an indigene of Plateau State, though born in Agenebode(defunct Bendel State) of Edo State, brought up in Okitipupa, Ondo State and now in my darling State. I am very interested in who would govern us and give us quality representation, a good manager of both Human and Capital resources. Someone who would unite us the most and restore the peace our State is well known for. We dont need to fight because we want our superiors to know that we are good campaign managers/supporters. I want to see us being game-changers in governance and politics by insisting on leaders at all levels that are accountable, transparent, honest, God-fearing. People with intergrity, empathy, probity, technical competence and credibility. People who knows the workings of government. We can do without those calumny, slanders and propaganda, because they are not necessary. There are more better ways to sell our political products(candidates). Remember, garri without professional marketers still sell better. God bless, unite us and restore peace to Plateau State.
