I responded to the thread started yesterday and wanted to post that response here also: Here is my biggest problem, no matter what is being said the fact that the patient ended up in the back of a squad car tells me that there was a problem, the fact that the HL dispatch said we have a car at Northline and Telegraph and everything else is spread out tells me that their was no vehicle in the immediate area because the dispatch would have said were right there, and the fact that the Mayor of the City instead of saying things did not go exactly as planned but we were able to get the child to an emergency room with multiple people to help thanks to our police and fire fighters instead tries to somehow direct blame to the police department. Just say it did not go as we would like but everyone pulled together and made it work. HIs enthusiasm to blame our personnel when things do not go exactly as they should further demonstrates his pettiness and lack of a spine for this type of work. Us throwing around insults to each other is counter productive. The man has no respect for emergency responders and believe it or not folks from Healthlink, if something goes wrong and there are no police or fire from the city for him to blame he will be more than happy to throw all of you under any available bus in the same manner he has done to all of us. Now how about we re-direct our energies and realize where the real problem is. At the corner of Goddard and Pine.
