I rode 20 #milesforjamie today. Intended more. Many more. But early on I passed a woman on the trail pushing her bike. I did one of those courteous but hollow greetings do you need anything? She looked at me with a courteous but hollow look of maybe I do but Im not going to ask. Stupidly, I stopped. She had crashed earlier and her wheel would not turn. She had 10 miles to push her bike back to her car. I gave her a meeting point and told her I would ride back to my car and then drive her to hers. That ate up the time I had set aside for riding but I told her about Jamies life and yesterdays amazing day that we honored her. #notaboutthemiles
