I rode Sunrail for the first time today. Took my son to see the Orlando Magic - the ride to Orlando was great. HOWEVER there was no train back to Debary - in fact the train wasnt running at all in either direction. They just kept playing an announcement saying there was a schedule modification and more details are coming -- but they just kept playing that SAME infuriating announcement for an hour, never advising on an estimated wait time nor any details. The website doesnt show anything. Another passenger had an app that - after an hour of him constantly checking it - finally showed an estimated 80 minute wait time with, again, no details. So now people are waiting 60+ minutes and add another estimated 80 minutes to that, still with no details as to what is going on. So unless you have a phone AND the app AND dont mind waiting an hour for the app to be updated you are just expected to sit there and wait without knowing anything? Why take a whole hour to update an app but not make an announcement to the passengers sitting there waiting for a train?? What a horrible way to treat customers. I come from NYC so I FULLY understand train delays are unavoidable but there is no excuse at all for ZERO communication. If they at least made an announcement that there was a delay but they were working on getting a train to us I wouldve waited, but not being told anything at all is just ridiculous.
