I said in my last post that I hoped to have some photos to share - TopicsExpress

I said in my last post that I hoped to have some photos to share the next day, of local reptiles. Given that I only found one Striped Skink before I had to stop my search to attend wildlife rescues, I wasnt going to bother posting anything. But since the last few days have been a little uneventful (resulting in nothing else to post), I thought I would share that day after all. Pic 1 is the Striped Skink which I came across in South Morang. Looking a little tattered as its in the middle of shedding its skin. Pic 2 is one of the worst euthanizes Ive ever had to do. A rare leucistic (white) Kangaroo from the Eltham-Doncaster area. As a white kangaroo, he had survived the odds by not falling prey to foxes, Eagles, Dogs and trophy hunters, only to be hit by a car and have his leg broken. It was a tough thing to have to euthanize him, but there was no other humane option. Pic 3 is a Bare-nosed Wombat which had somehow got itself stuck in the Eaglemont Tennis courts. The kind court users had initially tried to usher it out, but not wanting to stress the little fella too much, they decided to give it some shelter and leave it to trained rescuers. Now, what to do with this chilly day... how great it would be to get a snake job.
