I sang in over 700 venues, live, with a crappy karaoke setup and no access to any pitch fix whatsoever. Its bleeding hard work to sing properly when youre nervous in front of people in British pubs all over London, not least in front of larger official audiences. Im not a braggart (as some choose to perceive) but I never exactly got booed offstage (perhaps just kicked out by misers who decided there wasnt enough custom that night and tried to shirk the fee). Auto-tune is great as an EFFECT and should only be used as one! Not as an excuse for way too highly paid talentless genetically bred plastic idols cushioned and protected in acoustically treated enclosures to pass as gifted additions to an industry that has already lost most of my human respect - and though I am a producer, I stand not alone. Conning people is conning people. Cowardice is cowardice. To the little punks where I studied who thought it would be funny to detune my vocal takes and pass them off as my real hard work (yes, I was always aware of what you were doing) - I feel really sorry for you that the result of that is similar to all you will ever sound like even with pitch fix. Theres nothing wrong with giving what you love 110%...if you actually love it...and not just the glory...or the delusion that you have what it takes when you actually dont (and deserving not to because of your foul attitude).
