I sat in my van today watching people standing at traffic lights - TopicsExpress

I sat in my van today watching people standing at traffic lights waiting for the green man to flash up so they can cross supposedly safely to the other side. Whist I sat at the lights in my van I noticed none of the pedestrians even bothered to look at the cars at the lights or more importantly the drivers of the cars they walk in front of as they cross the road. They all just gazed trustingly at the brightly coloured lights waiting for the green one to assure them its safe to cross.nsome of them dont even look at the lights as they walk glued to their phones and simply follow the other pedestrians like a herd of sheep. This time though, it was safe as the drivers of the cars are also looking at some lights also telling them to stop. When I cross any road, Im looking at the cars not the lights, then as they get closer, Im looking in the drivers eyes to see if they have seen me so I know its safe to cross. If for some reason I cant see the driver Ill wait till that car passes I cross roads where I feel its safest and its normally the shortest route. I see this in comparison to the way the vast majority of the western world population go through everyday life, looking for the signals telling them what to do and not to do. By following the prompts, looking for the signals and trusting they are the right ones to make most decisions in life. Many also have blinkers on which means they can only see whats directly in front of them lol.... Which way are you looking??
