I sat with a woman this morning whose thoughts and memories consumed her...her mind constantly trying to reinvent the past...trying to re- explain the past...so that the outcome might be different.... She kept explaining to me over and over...if only this happened...and if only that happened... if only it had been different......a non stop stream of thoughts driven by her imagination.....her fear of the truth...her fear of what is to come...her fear of letting go of what was... She kept telling me that she does not want to end the relationship with her boyfriend....I asked do you still see him..? ...She said... Oh no...we broke up 2 years ago....... I looked at her and said... you have not seen him 2 years ...and yet you still do not want to lose him...is that correct..? Yes ...she said...I do not want to lose him... I said to her... You can only lose ....that which you hold on to. It is time...! Your thoughts. Peace Always
