I saw Before Midnight and it got me thinking. Life even love would never be without failings. We would never have the pure and idealistic world of understanding and problem free friends and family. The ones who truly love us would hurt and may even break us. Grave things we thought unacceptable become choices we must make between letting people who truly love us go or accepting the disappointment and keeping close whats most important. To be cheated upon is a grave thing, but now I accept that one can love another so completely yet cheat on them. The will is a poor thing, and sometimes, the unbending idealist doesnt see all the picture. Accepting that I am utterly capable of hurting those I sincerely hold dearly, puts a further burden on me to be a little more careful. Also to quietly let go, what things I cant change. To accept what a forgiving heart can. Of course its easier said, but knowing that its possible and working towards it is the best bet towards becoming a better man. Life as we know it, can be lived only this once, and it has to be enjoyed, and people are the best gifts of life.
