I saw a Jewish father and his two little twin sons roughly around 4 years of age at a traffic stop near SMU last evening and immediately I felt both anger and real concern for them. Anger as to what they symbolize, but greater concern on their well-being and safety, yes even in Singapore. And I sense the father was very aware of their vulnerability as well, he had a large black hat on his head and was adjusting the baseball caps over his little boys head, awkwardly covering what would have been give-aways to who they are. A grave sadness immediately swallowed me as I drove past them when the lights turned green. All I could think of from then are children and how we threaten them.
