I saw a UFO last night. About 2:30 am Id finished working on a recording and went outside for fresh air. (serendipitously, the recording, which I shared on FB earlier today, concerns things celestial-intangible) So, Im sitting on the stoop, looked up and saw a light appear in the northeast sky. The weather was drizzly, kinda swirly-foggy. A low full-overcast sky. I thought huh, a low-flying plane. As it got closer I realized it was absolutely silent. Planes & copters frequently fly overhead around here and theyre always audible--especially flying low. It got nearer, almost overhead, a few degrees north of me. No blinking lights typical of commercial aircraft. Still total silence. Rather than a single dot of light--or the several dots of light typical of nightime aircraft --the light was a cylindrical singularity. Imagine how big a carrot looks 60 feet away--thats how big it looked when it was directly overhead. Glowing all over--a bright glowing-orange cylinder, moving in total silence, at about the speed typical of small aircraft. I watched until it was hidden by the southwest treetops. Never made any sound whatsoever. No idea what it was. An eerie gliding light on high.
