I saw a hearse ride by today. Nothing too odd, but somewhat intimidating. First of all, I dont live near a funeral home but my business establishment sits directly across the street from Smalls Funeral Home in Colonial Heights so I see them most regularly. I even look forward to the day I meet my creator. But today was different. Obviously there was a visitation at the church down the street from me, which is becoming rather popular nowadays. Somewhat bittersweet, where else would there be a better place to celebrate a life lived that was given to us to live by free will?! I sat on my porch and watched this long stretched out black automobile ride by. I paused a moment and lowered my head as others slowly rode behind. This was someones friend...a family member...a loved one...a person. I dont who, I just know it was their last ride here on Earth. Made me think about the people I hold close. Made me wonder when my day would be. Wonder how old Ill be?! Will I get to tell those I love how much they mean to me?! Will I have done most the things I want to do before I check out?! Will I have made a small difference in this world to someone?! I can only say how much I love my friends & family and appreciate the opportunities that have been laid before me. As the saying goes, I have found that if you love life...life will love you back! I do believe in miracles & prayer and I have faith in God. Just a brief moment in time today and a little reminder of how precious life really is. Thanks to anyone who has ever lended me a hand and thanks for loving me. I love you too! #Todaysmissioncomplete
