I saw a manager harshly scolding an employee in front of customers about what she wore to work. The young girl held her head down, and the worst part...none of us spoke up. I later went back to try and find this girl, but couldnt. This is another example of the difference between a boss and a leader. You might have the title, position, or power, but that doesnt give you the ability to lead. Ive had many bosses, some great, some not so great. Same with teachers or anyone else in a position of authority. The ones that listened, appreciated, encouraged, and coached were the ones with influence. Those were the leaders and Im grateful to have had many in my life. The other bosses were just a-holes.
