I saw a post from somebody who was doubtful that puppy mills existed in Trinidad. I think it is possible that she does not understand what the term means. A puppy mill is a breeding establishment whose focus is on profit and not necessarily on the welfare of the animal. There are breeders whose sole focus is to improve the breed. Those breeders do not operate puppy mills. In puppy mills the owners breed their females literally to death and keep mother (and perhaps the sires too) and pups in the most deplorable and unhygienic conditions possible, often without veterinary attention or proper nutrition. And yes, they do exist in Trinidad.
