I saw a sadness in your eyes. The boy of long ago who smiled and ran with wolves was lost. I wondered what could have happened to steal that magic from your face. I could close my eyes and see you when you smiled. I could hear your laughter surrounding the auditorium of my mind. I could feel the enthusiasm of your words and hopes and dreams. But now…. I felt your anguish when you spoke no words to me. I could not talk to you. The essence of you fell between the cracks of the image before me. It saddened me….I hurt for you…..I felt your pain…. you’ll never know how much. I missed that boy in you. Parts of me screamed “where did you go?! Where is the magic?!
