I saw a tv commercial for a drug called Prolia this morning while I was lifting weights in my living room. Two injections per per year and a list of potential serious side-effects a yard long. Who was the last movie star to advertise a drug that what supposed to prevent bone loss? Cant remember. She probably died from side-effects Every drug goes down the tubes eventually because the side-effects outweigh any potential benefit. Dont allow your MD to turn you into a guinea pig thats feeding the pharmaceutical grist mill. Take your power, your health and your bone strength back. 1) Move! Walking, swimming, yoga, weight lifting, dancing, Qigong, golf, tennis, Tai Chi. If you dont use it youre gonna lose it. Come on, America, get up! 2) Light - day light, full spectrum light ( see the Verilux HappyLight 6000 by Wayfair ( Wayfair ) at Walmart. $89.95. Great gift, not my favorite place to shop ), tanning booths are even better than nothing, and help a lot of people, myself included. Light stimulates the production of hormones that help you build bone. 3) Calcium - in a form you can utlilize. Not Calcium carbonate, which is the form found in most generic vitamins and is the equivalent of chalk. Use a good quality calcium balanced with synergistic trace minerals and eat plenty of foods naturally high in calcium ie greens, nuts, dairy ( if youre not milk sensitive ). 4) Watch your water. Many people (and animals) are drinking water high in inorganic minerals that interfere with calcium absorption, especially well water. Have it tested or get a purifier.
