I saw a video this evening that my 13 year old son had received on his phone of a fight that happened at the high school last week... Chills covered my arms, my blood pressure hit the roof, I was mad, my feelings were hurt... I instantly thought how in the world does this go on and no administration is around, if you arent in the same room how do you not hear the commotion and people cheering the fight on as I heard in the video... Did the kid that had been being bullied and finally stood and fought really want to fight or did he because of fear of getting picked on even more.... Folks its real it happens everyday... My kids know I will beat their ass for picking on someone but know I will whip their ass for letting people bully them just as well... Its sad the world has came to this... When I was in school the only fight I remember was two sisters pulling each others hair in the school parking lot lol! Why do we let this go on as parents, teachers, friends, principals, bosses, coaches etc.... Wrong is wrong-make examples of them to stop the trend, they will be appreciative of it one day when they are older than someone took a stand and stopped their behavior! You never know what people are dealing with, would you like to be the cause of a child harming themself because of your lack of discipline to the people causing them problems.... The people videoing the nonsense are just as guilty... I hate it, cant stand it, it makes me sick, it needs to be taken care of! This specific time did not involve my children but we have dealt with a dose or two, it makes me very irate that any child whether they are mine or not has to deal with such.. If you dont have children yet or if you do and they arent old enough to deal with this type of situation it probably seems minor to you but one day someday you will and it will bother you just the same. Jesus take care of this situation please so I can come to peace with it, it breaks my heart :(
