I saw gas prices on my drive in at $2.12. Thats pretty snazzy, and I hope that it stays low for the foreseeable future, but I hope that we dont revert to old habits because of low gas prices. Like a lot of people, when gas hit $3.50+ per gallon, I started driving less and bought a more fuel-efficient vehicle. A lot of other people did the same. We have an annoying tendency as a people to not look beyond the end of the day when planning for the future. Gas prices are very unlikely to stay this low, forever. Take the money that youre not spending on gas and put it to doing something else productive. Youll be thankful when the prices eventually do go back up.
