I saw my buddy, Cliff at the grocery store on Monday morning. I was looking at a guitar mag and he asked me about influences. Sometimes I hate when people ask me this because I know inevitably, I end up forgetting to mention someone. Well, I did mention Charlie Hunter to Cliff. Natty Dread is probably one of my favorite Charlie Hunter recordings... Ive always dug his sense of groove, the fact that he does the bass/guitar thing is even more amazing. R.I.P. Calder Spanier
