I saw recently someone saying Im getting tired of the ALS #IceBucketChallenge, and I wish they would stop posting videos. I had never really paid any attention to this disease before these crazy videos started popping up. Didnt really realize how devastating it could be for the people effected. That they lose complete control of their motor neurons but not their minds. So at the end they are basically trapped inside their own bodies. I really never knew that and a lot of the people I have talked to hadnt either. I met a woman at the gym this morning that has lost two family members to this horrific disease. So as far as Im concerned, as long as people continue dumping ice water on each other and themselves, more people will learn more and hopefully support this organization to help find a cure.
