I saw someone post about Bro’s takedown of the piper. It was one of those mornings the boys on the block were thirsty for a distraction. Somebody noticed the piper sifting through a bag and a quick jostle pass. The piper run down the steps and across the field with the block in hot pursuit. As we get close the piper pull out a bottle of acid taken from the lab and fling it at the group. I get some on my hand and others get a little thing here and there. But as we were running from goal end to goal end Mikey was charging in from the sideline, skate tackling and cuffing at the same time, knocking acid bottle all the way. The piper was carefully taken to the residence (yeah right) and the authorities awaited (yeah right!). Part 2 was the block’s decision to attend the Court hearing the next day. Mikey was shocked when we showed up…but the policeman at the Court was a block man father (Sookhoo I think…wore glasses…he was the fella who wear the red Coca Cola shoes to College when they gave them away for World Cup one year). About 20 odd were allowed into the short trial. Under the bloodied bandages the piper was unrecognizable…plus the break hand (I swear he was handed over without a scratch). But the Magistrate asked generally to the boys in the audience if that was the man..and we nodded yes. Mikey was of course taking note of the faces…so we planned to tell the policeman…to tell Mikey to overlook this little trip to the Court. I am not sure how this ended for us. i know the piper get jail…and I suspect we get the usual licking!
