I saw the James Brown movie, loved it and will see it again. To all you complaining ass niggas who want inclusion, stop complaining, pool your dough and make your own goddamn movie. Your complaints sounds like some poor me begging shit. That shit is old and ineffective today. No, not enough people will boycott it to make a difference. Whyd I go? Because I wanted to Im free. And that young brother acted extremely well and sang and danced damned near as well as Brown, not an easy feat. He also captured his swag. I loved it. No I didnt need to be informed. I already was. The movie did a good job of his back story. I was aware of all of that. Now I ask how in hell can you tell a compLete story of a mans life in two hours? It is impossible. Anyway I went to be entertained and I was. Brown was a complex man who did great things for his people and this country. He was fearless and unapologetic and I admired that. The movie touched on all that even the complexities of his music which I would imagine fear people were aware of or understood. Would so called black writers and directors have done it better? I dont know. Its according on what their intent would have been. Id hope it wouldnt be a mimic of the Temptations mini series where Ruffin was demonized because it was based on Otis Williams autobiography. A man with limited singing ability and by his own admission a coward and ass kisser.
