I saw the following on a website: The stars of gospel. Can someone please explain to me what the heck is a star of gospel? As far as The Kingdom of God goes, there is only one bright and morning star called the Lord Jesus Christ - He is the gospel (good news). Why do people use the gift / anointing of God as a springboard for stardom as if the gospel is for entertainment? Consider brother John, who said He must increase and I must decrease (John 3:30). Brother John set the stage and crawled backstage and left Jesus in the spotlight. Even Jesus said of the Holy Spirit He will glorify me [ Jesus ] for He will take of mine and disclose it to you (John 16:14). Likewise, the gifts / anointing belong to Jesus and is intended to glorify Him only, not ourselves. Also Christians, stop making celebrities of these preachers, singers etc. It is the Holy Spirit that works through people. Without Jesus, we can do nothing. Thats why the church is like Hollywood today. Whether I am liked or not for saying this, I really dont care.
