I saw the magnificent Sideshow musical on Broadway this week and it is truly a work of art. Well cast, amazing songs and a lot of nifty staging. Its too bad it is closing in two weeks! The show is about the famous conjoined Hilton Sisters and it has a nice bevy of freaks in costume and masks to add some flavor, but this show is not about a sideshow. It is a tear inducing love story about the sisters, Violet and Daisy. Those in the know tell me because of the sideshow element and its perceived reputation, the production has not been able to find an audience. So sad because its one of the seasons best shows and is sure to be nominated for several TONY awards. Its cast is amazing.
