I saw this and it reminded me of a poem I had written What are your views? I looked into his weary eyes The very gateway to the soul The mists of time swirled within Finished with lifes bowl I remembered how as children We had ran without a care Yet there he lay before me With such a ghostly stare My heart was full of sadness But happy memories too Now his time was over here I knew what I must do I kissed him on the forehead Then said a little prayer Then gently with a pillow Took away his last breath of air I held him tightly in my arms Now safe from harm was he No longer laying on the bed Full of pain and misery I closed his eyes to shut out The tears from in my eyes Gone now sleep forever Go claim your heavens prize I knew whats done was so wrong In the eyes of British Law Yet I could watch him suffer Not one moment more Ill always have his memory Deep within my heart Yet what I did for him was right Forever together but apart
