I saw this and wanted to share. Ive been to a few accidents like these and the images are still burned in my memory...a brother watching through the ambulance doors as we tried to save his sister...a father driving up to a scene where his daughter lay under a white, blood-soaked sheet...attempting to give rescue breathing to a fatally injured teen while his best friend (also thrown from the vehicle) looks on in horror begging us to save him...seeing what happens when a cyclist doesnt wear a helmet...what it is like to frantically search for an infant in the roadside brush that should have been in a car seat...what a broken neck looks like...seeing a high school cheerleader collapsed and screaming when she realizes she just hit and killed a man on her way to a football game with her friends...or running through traffic to find your husband on the asphalt after being hit by a distracted driver. Lets all be more aware, more cautious, more grateful.
