I saw this thought provoking grief from one of my mentors and thought to share it with the video above since both works of art deal on similar subject matter. DEFILED- By Churchill Wenigha Mubi! Silent as the Night. You lay disheveled, traumatized. You lay defiled, stigmatized. We hear boots pounding, Mortars sounding. Your innards strewn everywhere, Your limbs scattered here and there. Who are these who have murdered peace? Who is it now, to pick you in one piece? Oh Mubi! Silent as death Dogs bestride you as cadaver Eating flesh, bones and whatever We see swords swinging And heads rolling. Your blood is spilled everywhere Your body opened here and there. Who are these, who suck your blood, Whose doctrine they make your Lord? Now Mubi, Silent as a graveyard You lay abandoned, forsaken Your faith mutilated, mistaken We see soldiers running, Towns falling. Your children captives everywhere Politicians lying here and there.
