I saw two movies for the first time yesterday: Enders Game and The Lego Movie. Dont worry, I wont spoil anything. Enders Game: I enjoyed the film, but felt I was missing out on stuff that was probably better done in the book (which I havent read yet). The ending surprised me by not doing a twist I thought they were going to do. Im normally a huge fan of child actors, but the cast did a passable job. Harrison Ford fit his roll very well IMO. Fantastic special effects. All in all, 7/10 The Lego Move: I wont lie, I loved this movie. Its plot seemed a bit cliche and its characters a tad overused, but all of that pales in comparison to seeing a huge adventure epic rendered entirely out of Lego bricks! I actually liked where they took the story (Will Ferrels character in particular). Speaking of Mr. Ferrel, I was blown away by how many big budget actors they got to do voices for a LEGO FILM! A LEGO FILM! If you had told ten-year-old me that one day Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson and Will Ferrel would all star in a hi-Octane action comedy about the LEGO universe I would have laughed at you. But, as I said before, the movie does fall into some cliche character arcs, the awkward savior being the central one, although they thankfully stay away from the hated liar revealed story arc, mostly. All in all I think the fun, creativeness, and nostalgia value far outweighs the movies Flaws. I must agree with you move, Everything is indeed Awesome. 9/10
