I scored a copy of the August 71 issue of Guitar Player magazine on Ebay last week, with the feature story on Terry. There is a small blurb About The Cover which has a very complementary summary that I wanted to share. It says, After spending the afternoon with Terry Kath during Chicagos San Fransisco appearance, our managing editor took the Nikkormat to the concert that evening to try and capture some of the power that this mountainous guitarist evokes. Sometimes Kath stands almost motionless while turning out intensely strong passages. Other times he bends and weaves in a massive bodily ballet, his face contorted, his eyes closed in concentration. Probably the one guitarist most often requested by GPs readers, Terry is also among the most musically exciting weve had the pleasure of presenting. He is definitely the most musically exciting performer!! :-)
