I see Duke Energy wants everyone to conserve energy (a noble goal any day) over the next 24 hours. Let me get this right. We all pay large sums of money to Duke Energy. Last year, at this time, we had a similar cold spell, meaning this isnt that unusual. They want taxpayers to clean up their pollution stored in coal ash ponds. All while paying executives massive bonuses and buying off government and their former employee, Gov. McCrory. I say f*ckem. Im going to stay warm and still watch tv. They should have spent their money on capacity and grid improvements.
