I see a few of my friends calling for arming ourselves.in light of all this. Personally in the past year or so Ive thought about trying to get a permit and perhaps take my armed guard license simply to improve my opportunities in private security. And also to perhaps protect my family in the future. It began after an incident of some shady individuals being right outside my home while my wife was home alone. These reasons had truly been weighing on my mind. But then...I think about the fact that a 12 year old can be shot by officers while wielding a toy gun. What on earth could happen to a 63 330 lb black man who is licensed to hold a weapon...and calls the authorities in the case of having an intruder on my property. Its just too easy to kill us and be justified in doing so. :\ Also. Those who bring up black on black crime. Ive given it some thought. If we dont hold those who take the oath to serve and protect to a higher standard than those who partake in gang violence...rather they be african, irish, chinese, Italian or Inuit.....Then What The Hell is The Point. With several friends who are officers, dont take it as a slight. I hope you all stay safe.If deadly force is justified..I support it 100%. But if there is even a hint of excessive force etc...wouldnt it make life easier to be exonerated by the same judicial system that we all must abide by? Everyone is upset for the Browns but I fear for Wilson and his family as well. But okay. Social media rant done. Time to buck up and keep it moving. So it goes.
