I see a number of questions on technical issues (tap drill sizes, etc) how many of you coming into the trade have a least one copy of the Machinerys Handbook and a copy of Uglys Electrical reference guide in your box? How many of you have been introduced or know of Wayne Moores book Foundations of Mechanical Accuracy and have read it? Im simply curious. I do a lot of technical teaching/instructing/mentoring and have a strong opinion supported by personal experience that our knowledge base is being diluted. We are loosing our connection with the basics.
